Workshop Title: Storytelling From The Heart Of Africa

This workshop for educators, care givers and parents, explores the rich tradition of Africa storytelling as a tool for cultural education, creativity and early literacy development. Through engaging narratives , music, and dance, participants learn how to incorporate African folklore and oral history into their classrooms.
The session highlights the role of storytelling in preserving heritage and fostering empathy, while providing educators with techniques to make stories come alive for young learners. Practical strategies on using rhythm, repetition, and character voices are shared to captivate children’s attention and enhance their understanding of diverse cultural perspectives.
The workshop is crafted how storytelling can bring benefits to children’s learning and explore how storytelling form various parts of the world brings experiences alive, creating a sense of connection, kindness and sharing. Expanding a story into multiple styles of teaching, such as yoga, songs, sign language, social studies and more, will also be the focus of the workshop.
